Amanda Owen

Senior yoga teacher and yoga therapist

I started practising yoga 27 years ago as a remedy for a bad back and have not stopped practising, learning and training since then, qualifying as a yoga teacher in 2004. In 2009, I became a certified yoga therapist and obtained a post graduate diploma qualification in yoga therapy. After working as a yoga teacher and therapist in London over the past 13 years, I arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of 2018.

I am particularly interested in yoga for mental health and worked for the National Health Service (NHS) in UK, teaching specialist yoga therapy classes for people living with complex depression, anxiety and trauma. In London I was a volunteer yoga teacher for refugees and survivors of torture.
